Chris Ragland is an experienced Senior Executive with 20+ years of success in the global animal health industry. His assignments have included commercial operations, R&D, business development, and general management. Key areas of responsibility within these assignments have emphasized strategy development, business integration, research program leadership, and merger/acquisition oversight.
Assignments within Intervet and HR Vet, the former animal health subsidiary of Hoechst AG, have provided opportunities to “Lead Change” with both domestic and international teams. His most recent opportunity came as President of Intervet Inc. with the introduction of a company-wide “Change Leadership” initiative (2005–2008). This integrated developmental and performance program utilized enhancements in professional development, internal communications, information management, and compensation programs combined with an overarching emphasis on critical performance metrics to realign the company’s culture into one of “performance excellence.” Over the term of the program, the company’s CAGR exceeded 15%, profitability improved by 250%, and more than 30 new vaccines and pharmaceuticals were registered and successfully launched.
A codeveloper of the “Day 1” initiative with his collaboration partner Robert Rich of the Ithaca Consulting Group, Chris additionally maintains an active consulting practice focused on business strategy and integration initiatives.
